As a Planning Engineer you will be part of Power Products Division and Medium Voltage business unit based in Riyadh. ABB is world’s leader in power products business and product manufactured becomes the key components to transmit and distribute electricity. The division incorporates ABB’s manufacturing network for transformers switchgear circuit breakers cables and associated equipment. It also offers all the services needed to ensure products’ performance and extend their lifespan.
Tasks
As a Planning Engineer you will be responsible for the following tasks
1. Managing the materials resource planning requirements daily.
2. Reviewing reorder suggestions checking reorder levels quantities and stock holding to ensure compliance to projects requirements planning.
3. Managing stock items including the creation of new materials and the identification and replacement of obsolete items and coordinate with design to update the BOM Bill of Materials system.
4. Monitoring managing and reviewing defined Key Performance Indicator by Local Product Group
5. Handling supplier qualification process.
6. Managing the purchases process including good receipt and supplier payments.
7. Performing inventory management.
Requirements
Ideally you'll hold a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineer with at least 2 to 3 years of experience in Supply Chain. Good communication skills in Arabic and English is required.
