- Utilize Information Architecture best practices to design the visual website layout.
- Create icons, logos, and brochures using minimalistic but effective and visually communicative design, while adhering to design standards and University brand guidelines.
- Analyzes the typography for all media and use the appropriate type for print or web.
- Utilize the entire graphic design process, from hand sketches drafts to final computer images to produce professional images which reflect the identity of the University.
- Plan, analyze and create visual solutions to communications problems.
- For Print: Layout, Design, Illustration and Typesetting of weekly digests, brochures and marketing materials, and liaising with external professionals such as printers.
- For Web and Electronic Presentation: Design, animations and illustration (potentially including artwork, diagrams, graphs and maps) for web pages, e-communications, web applications and computer presentations (such as PowerPoint shows) as needed.
- Photo restoration and retouching for digital images & maintaining a library of images (Only in cases when retouching is determined to be absolutely necessary and legal).
- Support the development of an overall communications strategy and general development to improve quality and effectiveness of communications materials, & build a strong brand for the organization in collaboration with Marketing Branding.
- Ability to work with others to come up with a set of artistic paradigms to be employed all over the University and creating graphic guidelines.
