Position Summary

The Vice President, People and Organization Development leads our organization’s efforts to ensure all our staff are highly engaged in support of our vision. This candidate will lead and drive strategies for change management efforts in areas such as global diversity and inclusiveness, staff engagement and professional development.
We are looking for exceptional leader who is dedicated to supporting people development, developing a strong and inclusive culture, and a building a thriving organization. The right candidate is one who has a proven ability to mobilize teams at all levels through organizational change/transformational initiatives at an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment, engaging and coaching managers and senior leaders while also acting as a staff advocate. This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer of Teach For All.
· Increasing staff satisfaction with our employment support (talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, payroll, and immigration globally)
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
· Lead the development of the organization development strategy for an organization of 120 staff members living in 16 countries around the world (30% time). Amongst other areas, developing strategies for:
o All organization development related strategic initiatives such as a strategic review of compensation and benefits, the creation of a manager professional development framework, improvement in our internal communications, and/or the revamp of the annual performance management process
o Global diversity & inclusiveness initiatives that ensure that people can bring their whole selves to Teach For All
o Professional development including our overarching framework, centralized onboarding, and manager professional development
o Global employment operations including compensation, benefits, payroll, visas/immigration, and safety & security. Current landscape includes 16 expatriates, 9 local nationals outside the US/UK, 11 individual payrolls, and 4 benefit plans
o Oversee processes, procedures, best practice and documentation to support and ensure global legal compliance for all requirements and regulations related to employment, benefits, compensation, etc.
· Manage 4 direct reports and a team of 8 (currently located in the US and the UK) to ensure the exemplary execution of our organization development strategies (40% time)
o Ensure the team has clear priorities, strategies and measures and that they reflect regularly to continue to perform at a high level
o Create a team culture that operates with trust, confidentiality, and the utmost professionalism
o Provide professional development and stretch assignments for each individual
· Participate on the Senior Leadership Team of Teach For All with other Vice Presidents, the COO and CEO (25% time)
o Ensure a focus on people and organizational culture is brought to all strategic discussions and that people-related topics are discussed as needed
o Provide direct support and advice Senior Team members on all people and organization development-related matters (i.e. staff engagement, compensation, talent planning, performance management, etc.)
o Drive talent management discussions to ensure optimum organizational design and succession planning
· Engage directly with staff and managers to resolve challenging situations as needed (i.e. performance or communication challenges) (5% time)
