PURPOSE:
• Monitor implementation of quality, work health and safety, and environment compliance related policies and procedures. Enhance awareness of quality, work health and safety, and environment policies within the Company.
KEY DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic:
• Assist in development and implementation of QHSE related policies and procedures.
• Contribute towards enhancement of QHSE compliant attitude in daily operations within the Company.
Operational:
• Identify relevant QHSE standards and regulations, applicable for operations as per business requirements and overall QHSE framework. Perform detailed analysis of the existing market standards and evaluate the required level of effort to implement QHSE provisions.
• Draft QHSE procedures based on overall QHSE framework and market standards as well as provide them for the Direct Manager’s approval.
• Coordinate implementation of applicable QHSE standards as well as manage acquisition of relevant certificates. Coordinate execution of external QHSE audits from the regulators and certification organizations.
• Maintain ongoing intra-company communication of the changes in QHSE policies and procedures to make sure that employees are abreast of the latest changes.
• Conduct trainings for employees on application of QHSE policies as appointed by the Direct Manager.
• Serve as key contact person for any employee inquires related to QHSE policies and procedures application.
• Monitor service providers to ensure they are performing in line with the agreed scope.
• Coordinate execution of yearly QHSE audits as well as analyze audit results to identify any areas for improvement. Arrange for the necessary meetings as well as facilitate information flow between the concerned parties.
• Follow through audit recommendations’ to ensure they are implemented to the full extent.
• Investigate on the job QHSE accidents to identify their causes and take any necessary remedial measures.
• To investigate and report on complaints of hazardous working conditions to the direct supervisor and/or other appropriate senior staff.
• Coordination about H&S monitoring of high-risk activities w/c needs HSE Officer’s assistance.
• Coordinate & Monitor the QMS Staff Safety Related Training which includes but not only limited to; Work at Height Safety Awareness, First Aid & CPR Training, Fire Warden Training, Heat Stress Awareness, etc.
• To conduct, as necessary, the safety inspection of QMS work site and warehouse
• Participate with H&S Executive Committees in jobsite work observation and subsequently develop the Safe Work Method Statement and Risk Assessment document for various activities.
• Receive work schedule of high-risk activities from QMIP, OUTDOOR which requires QHSE Officer’s presence to monitor QHSE aspects while job is being carried out.
• Receive, compile and furnish copies to HSC any HSE related reports (incident, accident, near miss, etc.) from Group of Companies H&S Working Committee Representatives.
• Perform any HSE related activities as maybe instructed and required by HSC.
• Initiate and implement safety measures in work areas.
• Perform any other work related duties as assigned by the GM, Outdoor and Print Operations.
