Description
Business Acumen: Take leading role in understanding of external & internal environment (economic, political, social, competitive and regulatory factors) and ensure that the same is captured in business planning processes. Actively tracks the information that indicates health of the organization and manage and guide the reviewing and alignment of regulatory policies & procedures requirements in various areas across the business.
Strategy and Organizational Development:Develop and apply strategies by formulating plans and several development methodologies based on the organization's vision, mission and future requirements. Develop and establish broad scale, long-term objectives, goals, or projects, and measure accomplishments against business objectives. Define Departmental/Functional and individual KPIs and orient team leaders to gain a better understanding on the applicability of KPIs and their results.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Set example by leading improvement initiatives through cross functional teams ensure successes. Keep people informed and up-to-date; practice appropriate protocols with ease across the business.
Budgeting and financial Management: Review the final budget, and provide guidance to the finance team and other departments/functions to ensure cost control measures are taken. Assist the business in completion and preparation of strategic financial plan, and provide expert knowledge of budget and cost control principles and techniques.
Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory): Participate in the business strategy formulation exercise by providing inputs from the perspective of Finance & Corporate services, ensuring that goals and objectives are incorporated in the Group strategy. Approve business plans of the Department/Function and monitor performance against budgets to ensure that effective controls are enforced to protect the business finances and services. Approve strategy, budgets, and plans of the Finance and Corporate Services Departments. Finalize annual financial reports and metrics. Oversee the financial forecasting, budgeting, cash flow, treasury and investment activities, and coordination of financial audit activities as well as accounts payables and receivables. Ensure development of long-term relationships with financial institutions and banks; liaise and lead negotiations with banks and financial institutions to mobilize the funds required, manage corporate payments, and coordinate preparation of the documentation required by the institutions and banks to ensure that the Group receives the required finances from institutions and banks. Oversee the monitoring of performance against budgets to ensure that effective controls are enforced to protect the business finances. Support internal communications and develop an effective two-way flow of information. Approve budgets and plans; ensure integration of distinct elements and introduction of best practices to ensure minimization of inventory costs without sacrificing quality or timeliness of supplies. Oversee the work of the HR, IT and Admin functions. Supervise the identification and development of organizational change proposals and review Corporate HR Planning and Strategy function. Identify areas and activities to be outsourced and ensure that the required contracts services are provided with the required quality within the specified costs. Ensure Corporate Services department
