Government Relations Officer - Alwazeen Trading company

The Government Relations Officer will enter the business in a permanent role, supporting the Management in all aspects of dealing with Government Departments . There is a high level of initiative and self motivation , communication and negotiating skills required . This is a key senior position in the company .











1. Manage relationships with all Government Departments / Agencies to ensure that the interests of the company are well represented and processed efficiently . These include, but not limited to;

A. Ministry of Commerce & Industry .

B. Civil Defense

C. Chamber of Commerce

D. Saudi Food & Drugs Administration .

E. SAGIA

F. Saudi Industrial Development Fund .

G. Department of Labor

H. GOSI

I. Zakat Office

J. Police

K. Baladia or Local Government Agencies .



2. Represent the company on the processing of applications for Government Licenses and permissions . This is to include but not limited to Passport and Travel Control permissions , preparing letters of invitation and processing requests for Visas.



3. Control over safekeeping of Passports and keeping of all records relevant to access and interface with the Labour Department . Preparation and processing of Iquama requests .



4. Dealing with Customs Clearance to ensure prompt clearance of company Imports and Exports , dealing with Police and Traffic regulators .





5. Representing Company on legal cases , including debt collection when they progress to legal action .



6. Advise and assist on ongoing development of HR processes and policies including compliance with all legal and government regulations .



7. Advise and assist on Health and Safety Regulations and the development and maintenance of legally compliant safety procedures .



8. Advise and assist the Finance Dept on the recovery and processing of Customs Duty payments and refunds, where applicable .



9. Develop and assist in generation of appropriate Procedures and Manuals to ensure company procedures are legally compliant with Saudi Arabian rules and regulations .



10. Contribute to coaching and mentoring of key employees on best practice under Saudi laws and regulations .



11. Other projects and relevant actions as directed by the Chief Financial Officer .
