Marketing Manager - Qatar - Event Organizer

Job Summary:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet agreed company objectives. He/she is responsible for evaluating customer research, market conditions, competitor data and implementing marketing plan alterations as needed.



The Marketing Manager will oversee all marketing, advertising, media and PR activities. He/she will be creating and executing marketing campaigns for each of IFP events.



Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manages all marketing activities and materials including printed material, online presence, publications, media relations, …etc.

• Identifies target markets and develops strategies to communicate with them.

• Monitors and analyzes market trends and studies competitors’ events and services.

• Prepares and manages marketing plans and budgets.

• Manages the production of promotional material.

• Liaises with other internal departments: sales, operations…etc

• Produces reports to monitor results and presents findings and suggestions to company directors or other senior managers.

• Manages a marketing team and provides guidance and opportunity of growth for each team member.

• Explores ways of improving existing exhibitions and services, and increasing profitability.

• Creates and executes innovative and high standard marketing campaigns for each of IFP’s events and exhibitionsacross a marketing mix program.

• Analyzes and adapts campaigns to market responses.

• Manages all the marketing activities and materials including printed material, online presence, publications, media relations, …etc.

• Oversees the editorial, design and production sides of the communication material: letterhead, logo use, brochures, websites, social media pages…etc.

• Works closely with the web and production teams to update event websites.

• Manages structured campaign schedules and coordinates the marketing communications calendar with the upper management.

• Advises the database team on strategic data requirements.

• Initiates and maintains strategic engagement and partnerships with key portals, publications and associations as well as social media and other service providers, fulfillment houses and vendors.

• Controls and monitors marketing campaign finances to ensure effective budgeting and cost control.

• Oversees the financial aspect of the marketing department by following a consistent and progressive evaluation system.

• Monitors the progress of marketing expenses within the previously approved budget, ensures adherence and evaluates performance.

• Provides ROI reports throughout campaigns and post-event, with recommendations for improvements.
