The Training Manager is accountable for obtaining a high level of performance in training and qualification. It is important that the training department demonstrate ownership for all Regional activities that affect training and qualification. The Training Manager has a primary responsibility to work with line managers to identify and meet personnel training needs.
Develop and provide quality performancebased initial and continuing training to prepare personnel to independently perform duties in a safe and reliable manner. Input to this program comes from conducting Training Needs Analyses TNA for all employees by coordinating with managers conducting surveys interviews etc. to determine deficiencies in knowledge skills and attitudes required to maintain or improve performance. Once this is accomplished the officer will plan organize and direct a wide range of training activities including orientation sessions and arranging onthejob training for new employees.
Establish and maintain a training organisation staffed with qualified instructors capable of accomplishing assigned tasks.
Procure and maintain the facilities equipment and materials necessary to support training activities effectively.
Provide training that is challenging and interesting and that meets the needs of Power Generation Region.
The Training Manager conducts ongoing training needs analysis to assess employees and determines the best possible training to apply.
The Training Manager will be responsible for ensuring that accurate and timely data is extracted from JDEdwards and TIMS for training to account the acquired talents of the organization's workforce and to ensure the accuracy of training records at all times.
Skills
510 years of experience in training role.
Appropriate professional trainer certification preferred.
Experience of management development and soft skills training.
Experience of designing and delivering a variety of training solutions.
Experience of partnering with third parties.
Must have effective verbal and written communications skills.
A strong communicator both in writing and spoken communications.
Articulate and confident standing up and delivering to large audiences
Organized a selfstarter and an inspirational leader of your team.
