Several Postdoctoral Fellow positions are available in the Bajic Lab within the Computational Bioscience Research Center CBRC http://ift.tt/VMprHu at KAUST www.kaust.edu.sa. The Lab works on the frontiers of computational bioscience research related to data integration metabolic pathway optimization synthetic biology biological databases knowledge mining text mining machine learning biological networks and development of tools and resources for Big Data in biology and efficient utilization of HPC systems. Postdoctoral Fellows are expected to take responsible roles in contributing to the development of new methods for efficient processing of Big Data from the domains listed above. They will be part of a large dynamic and productive Center team and will have access to the Center's extraordinary computational and experimental facilities.
Postdoctoral Fellows Requirements Recent within the last 5 years PhD degrees in relevant fields and proven skills in any of the following Machine Learning High Performance Computing Optimization Metabolic Pathway Modeling Synthetic Biology Databases Bioinformatics andor Data Integration. Knowledge of more than one of these fields will be an advantage. Expertise in computer programming is compulsory. Any combination of the following is of interest CC Java Perl Python SQL Matlab R etc.
