Position Project Engineer for Infrastructure
Duties amp Responsibilities
This is a technicalprofessional position providing direct assistance to Royal Commission RC Roads Department in dealing with all aspects of roadway design and 0 amp M issues for Jubail and Ras AIKhair Industrial Cities under the Royal Commission responsibility.
The incumbent will be assigned to the RC Roads Department and would be responsible for operation and maintenance of the existing roadway networks. This would involve inspection and acceptance of Construction Department contractor's completed work.
In addition the incumbent would coordinate with RC Engineering Department in forecasting future highway needs for the two cities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists Group Manager in managing Roads OampM Contractor's Technical Group functions.
Acts as a liaison between Roads and Engineering Departments in forecasting future highway needs.
Reviews Engineering Department roadway design contract submittals.
Leads acceptance of Roadway work completed by Construction Department contractors.
Develops Road Maintenance procedures and conducts computerized network and project level road and asset collection surveys routine pavement monitoring data base surveys roadside inventory and asset management road geometry and mapping surveys and road safety assessment using vehicle mounted electronic devices i.e. Hawkeye 2000 Series.
Assists in the development of material quality control specifications.
Assists the Group Manager in formulation of Roads Department road rehabilitation and OampM
Contracts.
Prepares procedures and guidelines for scheduling and planning for roads OampM.
Trains Roads Department Saudi Engineers in all aspects of Roadway Maintenance.
Performs all other related work as required and assigned by the Director of Roads Department.
Skills amp Experience
A B.S.B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering from accredited university
P.E. or Chartered Engineer
Demonstrable practical experience in planning design operations implementation maintenance and management of highways and freeways.
Complete familiarity with latest AASHTO standards.
ASCE professional registration and membership is required.
