About Your Job:
As Manager - Air Traffic Management (ATM) your responsibilities will include Managing the ATM team and developing short and long term strategies for the ATM section. You will also be required to ensure that Qatar Airways maintains a leading role in influencing decisions relating to the future of the ATM while taking advantage of current aircraft capabilities. You will also ensure that Overflight permissions are secured on time and in a manner that promotes utilization of the efficient routing. The role is critical to the development and success of the department.
As a member of Management Team you are expected to ensure successful implementation of ATM initiatives and processes to improve Operational efficiencies. You will ensure that Qatar Airways maintain a good relationship with the Air Navigation Service Providers and that Qatar Airways actively participates in the Industry groups such as IATA, ICAO e.t.c. with the goal of ensuring that QR requirements with regards to ATM are taken into account. You will also be expected to put procedures in place to proactively check for ATC over charges and provide liaison with the Finance department on all matters relating to ATC charges such as Annual budgets, monthly forecast, etc.
About You::
To be eligible for this role you must be a graduate or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years working experience within an Air Traffic Management Environment for either an Air Navigation Services Provider (ANSP), or Airline Flight Operations environment or related organization engaged in ATM activities. You should be professionally equipped with Air Traffic Management related subjects & ATC procedures and expected to have a Flight Dispatcher / ATC Controller License or equivalent.
You should have excellent communication, planning and analytical skills with proficiency in computer applications. You will also have sound knowledge of ICAO documentation on Global Air Navigation Plan, Global ATM Concept and Aviation Systems Block Upgrades (ASBUs). Successful applicants will also be required to demonstrate participation / involvement in aviation forums/organization related to Air Traffic Management.
