Scope
Support and guide Installation department to ensure design integrity in all projects and implement Installation Design procedures through the team.Ensure the effective operational performance and integrity of the installation its facilities and personnel. The position provides engineering technical support and guidance for all aspects of the Offshore Installation activities.
Responsibilities
Facilitate reporting mechanisms such that accurate and meaningful operational information is available to allow the activities to be managed efficiently and effectively.
Lead in HSE and equipment improvement and provide support and advice to offshore production personnel.
Develop working methods such that interaction of the Installation teams results in a cohesive effort to achieve a safe effective and efficient approach to operations.
Manage and plan in conjunction with external services providers contractors vendors.
Promote the best possible corporate image of the company.
Participate as Operations representative in the detailed design phase including design review adding constructive and relevant operational experience to the project.
Ensure that personnel safety and process safety is sufficiently included in the design and fulfilling the ALARP principles.
Ensure that design includes for an environmental sound and energy efficient operation fulfilling the requirements for low discharge and emissions.
Participate in relevant reviews such as HAZOP HAZID ALARP and QRA updates.
Participate in supervision of construction testing and commissioning work at the installation site as part of the site team.
Participate in FAT Factory Acceptance Test at vendors facilities as required ensure that complete documentation and reporting of testing activities and parameters are available incl. punch items.
Review and commenting of the commissioning procedures including interfaces.
Prepare technical documentation and procedural guidelines.
Liaise with certifying body clients subcontractors vendors and Vessel Management Team.
Participate in Startup reviews.
Ensure that proper punch list is being developed including required documentation participate in punch meetings as required.
Participate in preparation of Operational and Safety procedures before start up and ensure that these are aligned with our Clientrsquos Standards and where applicable.
Ensure timely and sufficient reporting to the Sharjah office in line with guidelines.
Ensure that safety is always is of priority and in line with rdquoIncident Freerdquo.
Observe company values at any time and in all matters.
Ensure that all activities are performed in a costeffective manner.
Evaluate and awarding subcontractors bids.
Maintain focus on technical excellence and innovation.
Support collaboration and integration across projects departments and locations and accelerate learning and knowledge sharing.
Ensure ndash before decisions is made ndash that safety economical and commercial evaluation is carried out in order to ensure optimal dispositions.
Ensure that all information written as well as verbal concerning the company is treated confidentially.
Provide technical expertise during various phases of project execution and proposal engineering.
Review contracts specifications designs materials and equipment.
Lead interface with design house and manage project detailed engineering.
Prepare technicalcommercial proposal for Offshore Construction projects.
Stand in as Technical Authority for selected projects.
Conduct audits for projects.
Carry out the role and responsibilities as a Functional Manager for the team.
Support Project Operation Manager in setting and managing department objectives Key Performance Indicators KPI and budget and aligning these to the requirements of management.
Support Project Operation Manager in promoting innovation departmental improvement and team working.
Support Project Operation Manager in developing strategies for continuous improvement of knowledge base cost consciousness quality and safety in response to demands of EPC business.
Conducting in house training programs on topics related to InstallationPlatform Design activities.
Supports the employee performance evaluations establish performance criteria identify employee strengths and weaknesses and recommend training and development requirements.
Provides technical support and guidance to Installation engineers and designers in converting the project from concept to detailed engineering.
Requirement
Bachelor degree in engineering with minimum 18 years of experience and at least 10 years of experience in engineering consultancy or EPC company in Oil amp Gas Installation industries.
Operating Management of offshore facilities and Submersible Units.
Extensive Offshore experience on SubseaInstallationConstruction or Field Development projects.
