Our client who are a significant member of the Middle Eastern banking community have asked us to assist in the hire of an Enterprise Architect.
Key Responsibilities
Contributes to the development of divisional strategy and ensures translation and alignment during the development and monitoring of departmental strategy including objectives targets and initiatives
Provides leadership and expertise in formulating and developing departmental policy and standards. Directs the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of the department's activity so that all relevant procedurallegislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality cost effectiveness service to customers
Prepares and recommends the department's budget by preparing analysis and data related to specific elements as directed
Monitors the financial performance of the department against budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon
Supervises the daytoday operations of the department to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies processes and procedures
Communicates with the business to identify their current and future needs and develops and maintains an Enterprise Architecture that ensures that the application network data and technology architectures are aligned integrated and support the business requirements of the Bank
Positions Bank's Enterprise Architecture to enable migration and integration to beneficial technologies at the optimum value and minimum disruption to the bank operations
Defines and executes the roadmap required to achieve maximum ROI and best support of business operations through corporate level adoption of Enterprise Architecture policies and guidelines.
Prepares and implements plans to realize the Enterprise Architecture Framework and regularly reports on progress
Assess and recommend appropriate tools for the development and management of Enterprise Architecture.
Provides guidance and sets the standards for the specification selection construction implementation and retirement of application data and technology components of Bank's IT systems to better support the operations of the Bank
Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure that technology decisions and blueprints align with the overall Enterprise Architecture Framework.
Controls the implementation of the Enterprise architecture and monitor its efficiency developing required adjustments and modifications to increase efficiency and compliance to business needs
Arbitrates on technical matters and recommend solutions that are consistent with business objectives and System Architecture
Maintains awareness of IT and Banking industry trends and developments assesses them in respect of the benefit to the Bank and promotesimplements those that are beneficial to the Bank.
Evaluate technical proposals and solutions to ensure consistency with the Bank's business objectives and strategy and complies with the Bank's Enterprise Architecture.
Stimulates subordinates and contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of Enterprise Architecture processes and practices taking into account 'industry best practice' improvement of business processes cost reduction and productivity improvement
Leads and directs the management of change through continuous improvement of division systems processes and practices taking into account 'industry best practice' changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans
