This posting is for a Analyzer Specialist position for Chevron Phillips Chemical Company CPChem. The successful candidate would have demonstrated experience as an Analyzer Specialist in refining or petrochemical with preference ethylene polyethylene or utilities experience and must be willing to work a minimum two year international assignment as an Analyzer Specialist at SChem a Chevron Phillips Chemical Company joint venture in Jubail Saudi Arabia. This position reports to the IE Maintenance Superintendent within the Maintenance Department. The successful candidate is expected to serve as a Subject Matter Expert in analyzer troubleshooting system integration for new installations and upgrades along with daily work practices and procedures. The Analyzer Specialist will be required to concentrate on continuous improvements in the operations of new and existing facilities in Jubail Saudi Arabia.Upon successful completion of the international assignment the candidate will be repatriated to the U.S. to transition into an equivalent role at one of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company’s U.S. based operating facilities.Responsibilities includeReview installations of existing analyzers for defects of poor installation or maintenance practices including sample system from supply to return. Make recommendations for improvements.Review Calibration and Utility gasliquid supplies and storage facilities at shelters and warehouses for correct storage and use to ensure adequate supplies. Work with the supervisors to make improvements and implement any recommendations.Develop a tracking system for calibrations which will provide a lead time in preordering to provideensure availability due to extended delivery times.Observe and monitor daily work activities PM’s repair practices procedures to ensure the correct frequency work methods tools and equipment are being used to seek improvements in quality of work performed and increase reliability of analytical systems. Look for ways to standardize work practices between the different maintenance groups.Develop and provide technician level instructiontraining. Instruction would be either onsite during repairs or PM activities or classroom setting. Monitor technician’s skills levels and knowledge to determine deficiencies related to different types of equipment and develop training materials needed.QualificationsMinimum 5 or more years’ experience as an Analyzer Technician Process Controls Technician Analyzer Supervision or Planning in the Petrochemical Industry.High Level of experience with the following Analytical EquipmentGas Chromatographs of various manufactures such as ABB Emerson Siemens etc using both gas samples and liquid samplesBoiling Point Microdistallation analyzersCEMs for 02 NOX COVarious manufactures of PHCond sampling systemsTOCUVVarious manufacturers of moisture detectionComputer SkillsProficiency in Microsoft Work Excel requiredProficiency in SAP PM requiredRemarksCandidate must be a team playerable to work with individuals in other departments to improve repair procedures equipment design and overall reliability.Candidate must be customer focused and selfmotivated to meet group goals along with personal goals.
