Role Description
The V&V Engineer will be responsible for verifying all surveillance equipment and monitoring and command systems installed on sites, HQ facilities, RRS facilities, towers, perform in accordance with project specifications and requirements. Duties will also include running a prescribed set of acceptance test procedures and optimizing performance of equipment and SW systems installed.
Key Responsibilities
Report directly to V&V Manager
Performs complete and detailed testing of radar, camera, CCTV, AIS, and RDF equipment on sites
Performs optimization of all surveillance equipment on sites
Performs testing and optimization of SW monitoring and command systems
Performs final acceptance procedures of equipment and SW systems
Completes required checklists and associated documentation of acceptance processes.
Integrates surveillance equipment it SHQ, RHQ and NHQ systems
Interface with Commissioning teams as required to optimize acceptance processes
Interface with Quality Management to ensure all requirements of acceptance are achieved.
Interface with O&S teams to ensure a seamless transfer of sites is achieved once acceptance activities are complete.
Education
Bachelor in Information Technologies, or a related field
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
Practical experience
Extensive (5 years+) experience in:
o Optimization and acceptance within large multi site projects
o Experience in implementation of signal based projects in various geographic locations
o Experience with implementation of complex IT systems
o Experience working within a customer orientated environment
o Thorough understanding of a systems engineering approach and integration methodologies
