Our client the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority SAMA is seeking to recruit a Head of Compliance in Riyadh to evaluate monitor and report compliance with relevant laws that have an impact on the operations along with other functions.
You will be assessing the appropriateness of internal policies procedures and guidelines and supervise implementation of any corrective measures necessary. You will be identifying compliance risks includes but not limited to legal risk reputational risk and risk of financial loss associated with SAMA39s current and proposed future mandates. You will be supporting in drafting written guidelines to the staff on appropriate implementation of laws rules and standard through policies and procedures along with ensuring centralization of all information on compliancerelated issues. Additionally you will also be overseeing the monitoring of internal compliance policies procedures and guidelines by performing regular and comprehensive compliance risk assessments and testing. Reporting to the Vice Governor you will present results on a regular basis along with leading managing and motivating the employees of the section and ensuring objectives are met.
Who we39re looking for
Our client is looking for a SAUDI NATIONAL senior compliance specialist who holds a minimum Bachelors degree and ideally also holds an MBA in finance. You will have at least 7 years experience working for in a large and reputable organisation with a focus on compliance be that a financial services or public sector organisation or any large and reputable organisation. Sound knowledge of the legal framework and the ability to ensure best practices internally in accordance with new laws is essential.

The central function of the SAMA include issuing the national currency supervising commercial banks managing foreign exchange reserves promoting price and exchange rate stability and ensuring the growth and soundness of the financial system operating a number of crossbank electronic financial systems.
