Business Intelligence Analyst - Qatar District Cooling Company

Job Objective:

Support business application systems running under different Technologies and develop solutions using technologies relating to BI and Internal Intranet Portals. Support users on system functionality, troubleshoot and coordinate with vendors for system support, with an aim to enhance business process, productivity, efficiency and decision making capabilities



Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities



-Technical owner for all development activities related to Business Intelligence, Document Management and SharePoint Applications

-Plan, manage and direct the execution and support of projects from initiation to closing. This includes, but is not limited to defining time lines, develop code, write technical and functional specifications, write user manuals, write help files, assist in procurement of vendors / equipment / software and implementation

-Coordinate and streamline all project phases from, but not limited to, collecting requirements, gap analysis, design, set-up to prototyping, testing and training

-Define projects’ scope, objectives and deliverable and success criteria that align with business goals ensuring project stakeholders and management expectations are met.

-Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of relevant systems, processes and practices taking in account industry best practice, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

-Oversee the maintenance of the application during its life cycle by coordinating with the relevant team members and vendors.

-Analyse issues raised by users to identify integration problems and take corrective actions.

-Research software and business solutions prevalent and introduced in the market and make recommendations to the Business Applications Manager.

-Conduct feasibility studies on new solutions/software and analyse the technical and functional aspects thereof and provide technical recommendations to the Business Applications Manager.

-Provide support to all users and ensure changes (in liaising with vendors/consultants/parent company) are made according to user requirements and upper management

-Investigate, log into system and solve all issues that come in through the help desk related to ERP and related software.

-Train and demonstrate software to stakeholders and users and act as a technical support thereof.

-Develop and deliver ad-hoc reports, documentation and presentations to management as requested to monitor, control and troubleshoot problem areas. Analyse results and make recommendations to management.

-Plan and manage user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure seamless live operation and integration of custom developments and systems.

-Provide training and training documents related to systems and related software.

-Participate in general IT support (. development of policies and procedures, budget input, monthly reports and technical support) to employees when required and coordinate with rest of IT team to ensure timely delivery of IT support.
