Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company SABCO has worked as the management services contractor directly with our client the Saudi Arabian Royal Commission for the last 30 years. We are the Engineering Procurement and Construction EPC managers managing design submissions from local AE firms contract and procurement management and overseeing the actual construction work being performed by local contractors and subcontractors in Jubail Industrial City.
Projects we are actively involved with in Jubail include new residential communities petrochemical industrial zone site preparation various commercial buildings and structures mosques schools hospitals sports facilities clinics a new 30000 student university utility services and infrastructure electrical substations lift stations roads and highways port amp pipeline expansions and more.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in the development to the front end engineering and design process for Ras AlKhar Industrial City
Prepare engineering scope of work list of deliverable and engineering manhour for specific projects.
Review architectural and engineering packages prepared by outside Engineering Consultants for conformance with project requirements compliance with applicable codes and standards operability maintainability and constructability. These engineering packages include but not limited to process flow diagram piping and instrumentation drawings arrangement drawings specification quality control program startup plans schedules and calculations.
Coordinate design with other engineering discipline engineers.
Review construction contractor and vendor technical submittals including calculations shop drawings specifications and product submittals.
Prepare responses to construction contractor and vendor technical queries or request for information.
Participate in and provide input to the bidding process.
Schedule and lead meetings.
Conduct final inspection and participate in equipment and system commissioning.
Order verification tests as needed.
Other related duties as instructed by Management.
Train and mentor entry level and lesser experienced engineers.
Position Skills
University Degree BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
Registered Professional or Chartered Mechanical Engineer.
Substantial experience in the design of mechanical systems associated with Infrastructure projects including but not limited to Sanitary and Industrial Waste Water Collection amp Treatment Sea Water Cooling or Large Volume Condenser Water Systems District Cooling Solid Material Conveying Systems Potable Water Treatment Plants Sea Water Reverse Osmosis Systems Potable and Industrial Water Distribution System.
Gas and oil pipeline experience is a plus.
Knowledge of Building Mechanical Systems is a plus.
Working knowledge of codes and standards associated with mechanical systems.
Possesses excellent English communication skills both written and oral.
Willingness to train and mentor entry level and less experienced engineers.
