JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Typhoon Support Centre TSC Fleet Information Manager the job holder will be responsible for the management and leadership of the engineering records function to ensure effectively manage all Typhoon aircraft and equipment Engineering Records using the Engineering Support System ESS.
The job holder will ensure that all RSAF authorised continuing airworthiness instructions and scheduled maintenance requirements are loaded on to ESS in a timely manner monitoring and recording the accomplishment of such requirements across the fleet against the relevant time compliance periods. The role will also monitor the quality and integrity of business data entered in to ESS by maintenance personnel and reporting any deficiencies to maintenance management personnel.
As the Engineering Records Team Leader you will be required to interface directly with the RSAF at all levels to help them grow their knowledge and understanding of Typhoon engineering records and ESS.
In addition this role is to assist with mentoring RSAF amp Saudi National expertise in the service delivery of Engineering Records responsibilities. .
RECRUITMENT
Ideally from within BAE SYSTEMS or currently serving within the RAF to ensure familiarity with Typhoon and its engineering records requirements including the data and reporting requirements of the ESS.
Candidates from a nonTyphoon background or with other relevant experience gained with another air force will be considered whereby additional training can be provided

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
Qualified to DegreeHND level or equivalent in an Aeronautical Mechanical engineering discipline.
Have a thorough knowledge of the operation maintenance and support of modern combat aircraft systems with their relevant maintenance management and aircraft record systems and have gained practical experience.
Good understanding of the Typhoon Engineering Support System ESS and requirements for continuing airworthiness management.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Managing the Engineering Records Team within the Typhoon Support Centre TSC at Taif to ensure the timely and effective management of all Typhoon aircraft and equipment Engineering Records.
Provide the focal point within the TSC for Typhoon engineering records interfacing with the RSAF at all levels to assist with their understanding of Typhoon engineering records management requirements.
Liaising with the Fleet Management and ESS Data Integrity sections within the TSC and Forward Operations maintenance planners to ensure continuing airworthiness instruction and scheduled maintenance requirements and updates are loaded on to ESS in a timely and effective manner.
Coordinating with the GSS SA where necessary the timely implementation of authorised Reference and Business change packages produced by the DIT and ensuring that users are made aware of any impact regarding these changes prior to implementation.
Managing the recording and allocation of all aircraft Modifications relevant to the Typhoon fleet at Taif including Modifications at equipment component level.
Monitoring the satisfactory accomplishment of aircraft and equipment continuing airworthiness instructions and scheduled maintenance requirements in accordance with their associated time compliance requirements.
Monitoring and reporting deferments of continuing airworthiness instruction and scheduled maintenance requirements.
Ensuring that all engineering records and maintenance data loaded in to ESS by the Engineering Records team is of a satisfactory standard and quality.
Monitoring the quality and integrity of maintenance data loaded on to ESS by maintenance personnel to ensure it is of a sufficiently high standard to support In Service Data Analysis and reporting including monthly reports and recommendations on improvements to
processes that affect engineering management personnel
Ensuring adequate management systems are in place for the control of any paper records and documentation applicable to the Typhoon aircraft
Ensuring the update of the ESS as a consequence of any paper transactions carried out by the supply logistics process.
Carrying out the necessary ESS application functions required as a result of receiving a new aircraft and the associated Aircraft Acceptance procedure including checking data consistency and updating the ESS reference and business data accordingly.
Assisting the GSS System Administrators implementing any Aircraft ‘Quarantine’ action following an accident or serious incident.
Coordinating and implementing requests for Maintenance Work Order MWO templates and ‘standard text’ on the ESS.
Hold regular planning and prioritisation meetings with the Typhoon Fleet Information Manager.
Conducting performance reviews for BAE Systems Industry Engineering Records staff.
