Purpose of the Job
Control and manage all tests at High voltage substation. He will have to organize and manage all the tests of the High Voltage SS to prepare the test plan and procedures.
Measurement
Schedule met and all Test reports signed by client engineer if any and all marked up drawings are collected and submitted to the PM.
Responsibilities
Put in place and manage testing team ensure that members have the necessary knowledge and agreement to carry on the tests. Establish and update the testing Schedule to reach the contractual target dates.
Manage testing equipment at site such as digital multilmeters Single phase injection set three phases injections sets Wattmeters Primary injection sets etc.. and ensure their calibration certificates are valid.
Prepare the test plan and all asssociated test procedures.
Check that all tests done on site are in accordance with contact requirements quality type.
Manage all Non Conformance Report issued by testing engineers and coordinat and complete modifications if there is any.
Ensure that all drawings will be marked up if necessary by the testing team so after commissioning As built drawing can be produced.
Ensure training of the testing team.
Centralise all Fill up test reports and ensure they are all signed by Engineer if any or Client.
Organize and manage the backup of all equipment computer files such as protection relays setting equipment configurationetc . so they will be delivered along with marked up drawings.
Network amp Links
Reports to the Unit Commissioning Manager and indirectly to the Project manager. He will mainly liaise with the Engineer if any the client the site manager and the testing crews.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Electrical Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience.
Technical Knowledge Experience
Candiate must have similar experience in management of commissionning of substation project in the Middle East regiona as Testing Manager.
Technical Skills amp Competencies
Good communication skills disciplined fluent English strong reporting skills very good knowledge of computer software having job planning skils.
