They are currently mobilising a management team for a high profile Project Management contract for integrated systems, particularly a PORT OPERATION SYSTEMS MANAGER to head the project design section. This will be for a minimum of 4 years and will be responsible for the Port Operation Systems (Port Operating System, Terminal Operating System, Port Community System etc.) which includes the concept design submittals, project deliveries, and follow up of installation and commissioning works up to Project Acceptance Procedures.
Criteria
1. 10 to 15 years experience in lead engineering positions in integrated large scale projects in the field of Port Operation Systems
2. Education - Good University degree in Engineering (electrical, electronic or IT / Communications) graduate.
3. Excellent command in written and spoken English Language
4. Excellent communications skills and ability to work with and manage multinational engineering teams for the preparation of technical project deliverables (Basis of Design Documentation, Interface Control Documents, Systems Specifications, Shop Drawings etc)
5. Being responsible for the preparation and delivery of preliminary & concept design submittals (functional performance based system specifications, Bill of Materials sizing, drawings)
6. Experience in project delivery (supervision and follow up of Installation & Commissioning works etc) and Project Acceptance Procedures
7. Presentation skills
8. The following will be considered an advantage:
a. Previous experience in Airports and seaports projects
b. Previous experience in leaving and working in GCC area
c. Professional training & qualification in Program Management, PMI, PRINCE 2 etc.
d. Post graduate studies
e. Arabic language speaker
