- Proven supervisory ability in a high tempo aircraft maintenance delivery driven environment.
- Must be educated to HNC level or recognised equivalent or have relevant experience supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training.
- Must have successfully completed a recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship or similar practical aircraft maintenance training programme delivered by a NATO air force or approved aircraft maintenance training provider.
- Suitable post qualification experience of military fast jet maintenance support at a certifying position.
- Suitable experience working as a supervisor of Avionics tradesmen maintaining Typhoon aircraft at either Line Forward or Base Depth Maintenance.

- Currently working in an aircraft maintenance organisation conducting or supporting Line Forward Maintenance of military fastjets Typhoon preferred.
- Proven track record managing Avionics aircraft maintenance supervisors and technicians and associated resources at ââ¬Ëshift managerââ¬â¢ level maintaining military fast jet aircraft Typhoon preferred.
- Excellent man management and people development competencies. Management experience with proven ability to manage junior maintenance personnel.
- High level of interpersonal skill to coordinate a large number of diverse and complex activities and the ability to communicate influence and direct the decision making process at all levels. Experience of multiââ¬âtasking to manage a diverse range of engineering and management activities.
- Demonstrable experience working as an Avionics certifying supervisor and technician conducting Line Forward Maintenance on a busy military operational flying unit.
- Fully conversant with European Aviation Safety Agency aircraft maintenance regulations or military equivalents such as UK MoD Defence Standard 05130.
- Experience working in a NATO air force maintaining Avionics systems on military aircraft.
- Experience as a mentor coach or instructor in an aircraft maintenance environment.
- Experience conducting Line Maintenance of aircraft in a Gulf Coast Country.
- This background is essential because the job holder will be supervising shift of Avionics Supervisors and Tradesmen conducting Line Maintenance on RSAF Typhoon aircraft in KSA and delivering consolidation development of RSAF and Prime Contractor staff.nbspnbspnbspThe Job Holder is accountable for the following
- Undertaking the responsibilities of Avionic Trade Superintendent in his absence.
- Ensuring that all continuing airworthiness and maintenance activities conducted within his Area of Responsibility are carried out in accordance with current processes and procedures by appropriately authorised qualified and experienced personnel.
- Coaching mentoring and delivering consolidation development to all BAES and RSAF personnel under your direction and control.
- Ensuring that all personnel engaged in activities in his Area of Responsibility follow the correct practices and observe safety precautions thereby complying with the requirements and limitations detailed in the Salam Support Safety Case Report and that as far as is reasonably practicable ensuring that no one is exposed to any unnecessary or uncontrolled risk.
