The successful candidate shall be responsible for the full operations of the store. He shall be effectively assigning and scheduling store employees in order to meet store requirements. As he will be monitoring the store’s performance and follows-up on work results of the store’s staff, the Retail Store Manager must have excellent team management and motivational skills. Having worked previously within a business with a strong reputation for customer excellence, the ideal candidate must have very strong sales experience, friendly, hard-working and keen to put customers first.
Duties and Responsibilities
• In-charge of the complete management of store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees.
• Monitor and continuously improve operations’ and employees’ performance to ensure that they are in line with the company’s (store) targets and objectives.
• Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
• Promote awareness of the company brand through its products and services in the community.
• Ensure that the program, operational and personnel policies and procedures for the regional office are followed and implemented.
• Oversee and manage daily operational activities of the regional office.
• Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
• Determines marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records.
• Report sales performance, progress and issues.
• Responsible for achieving sales objectives and delivering the store’s monthly/annually agreed budget.
• Generate and enlarge customer base by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers to identify their current and future requirements.
• Keep fully up to date of markets trends and fashions and their impacts of customer choices.
• Ensure availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts and maintaining inventories.
• Formulate pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities - determining additional needed sales promotion and/or authorizing clearance sales.
• In-charge of market merchandising by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.
• Secure merchandising by implementing security systems and measures.
