Job Description
Boeing Phantom Works Strategic Development Experimentation SDE established the Decision Support Center DSC in Riyadh to further develop understanding of Saudi Arabian defense requirements and identify collaboration opportunities for joint development. The successful candidate for this position will become the DSC Deputy Manager reporting to the Director and assisting him in responsibilities for oversight and management of facility operation budgets creating maintaining strategic relationships with key partners customers suppliers internal and external stakeholders as well as industry government officials of interest. Particular focus will be customers involved in development of doctrine policy requirements as well as research development. Customer engagement is a key and core focus for the Deputy Director and significant military experience is highly desirable. The Deputy Manager will be guided by the Boeing Saudi Arabia Business Development team as required in addition to assistance from Phantom Works SDE Business Development. The successful candidate must possess analytical and Operations Research and Management Science ORMS aptitude and the capability to improve skills over time. These skills include knowledge of military simulationbased analysis cost and financial analysis techniques and quantitative risk assessment methods. SDE will provide ongoing support to help fill any skill gaps but the ability to learn quickly and adapt is essential. You should be able to demonstrate the following competencies · Excellent understanding of the Ministry Of Defense and how it uses and could use decision support services. · Industry recognition within the field of Defense Experimentation or related field Experiment design Software and systems architecture design experience. · Highly Confident in their ability to take a leadership role and work well in a small highly motivated and competitive team environment. · Understanding of business needs and realities within the scope of an RD or concept development environment. · Demonstrated experience in more than one of the following domains Defense Experimentation Modelling and Simulation Decision Support Operations Research Systems Analysis Visualisation. · Confident to work directly with the highest level representatives within the Boeing organization and Boeing customers both in and out of the military domain Confident in their ability to take an active leadership role within a high technology and cutting edge environment committed to improving the business environment for Boeing by directly contributing to Boeing strategies · Confidence in presenting to large groups and VIP audiences. · Be innovative and lateral in thought a solutions thinker. · Committee representation on industry representation boards Standards Authorities Industry advisories. Basic Qualifications for Consideration Are you a Saudi National? Do you have significant experience as an officer in the Saudi defense environment? Are you proficient in Microsoft Office Word Excel PowerPoint? Typical EducationExperience Prefer candidates to hold a degree with significant experience in Operations Research Computer Science Systems Engineering or Simulation Experimentation. Highly desirable to hold a Post Graduate Degree in any of the specialist areas of Operations Research Decision Support Modeling Simulation or Systems Engineering. Highly desirable to have significant more than 15 years experience within the MOD Royal Saudi Air Force Royal Saudi Land Forces Royal Saudi Naval Forces MOI or SANG with experience in aviationrelated specialties especially valuable. Essential to be comfortable and experienced in using Microsoft Office tools Word Excel PowerPoint. Highly desirable to be a Certified Modelling Simulation Professional or similar. Demonstrated experience conducting Live Virtual or Constructive simulation for defense experimentation purposes or wargaming.
