Summary

With P & L responsibility for achieving the set annual objectives in alignment with the Division MD tactical decisions, oversees the business unit from planning to execution. Spearheads operations to ensure that Wholesale, Lubricants and Service Centres have the resources to deliver quality services and to enable the division to recognize and capitalize on business growth opportunities

Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan, develop and implement strategy and budgets for the operational management of the division within agreed targets and timelines.

Monitor measure and report on operational issues, opportunities and development plans for achievement within agreed formats and timescales.

Monitor ongoing department performance, review monthly operating and financial results and investigate and report on variances against department budget targets.

Develop processes and procedures that adequately support the business and secure the quality of the work.

Ensure that relationship with principals are developed and maintained and that common business is developed appropriately.

Ensure the appropriate recruitment of managers and staff; facilitate their training and development and assessment of their capabilities by using appropriate systems for measuring KPIs.

Liaise with other functional/department managers so as to understand all required aspects and needs of operational development, and to ensure they are fully informed of operational objectives, purpose and achievements.

Safeguard the company assets, and assets given in to the care of the company.

Ensure activities meet and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and security, legal stipulation, environmental policies and general duty of care.

Ensure that business operations are conducted according to the division and company procedures and policies and general values.

As a member of the management team of the company contribute to the overall development of the company

Profile

10 - 12 years in Automotive Field, in which 3-5 years as Service/ Parts Operations Manager or higher. Minimum 3 years of P&L experience. 5 plus years of successful experience leading, motivating, and developing a business solutions team. General knowledge of automotive systems and working knowledge of parts needed for specific models. Knowledge of inventory control practices. Knowledge of storage, shelving, safety and security as associated with the operation of a parts storage facility/warehouse. Ability to develop, plan and implement policies and procedures. Organizing and coordinating skills. Skills in budget preparation and fiscal management. Good analytical and numeric aptitude. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage inter-departmental relationships. Ability to communicate effectively in English- oral and written. Skill in the use of computers, Microsoft packages. Motivate the team, explain the Organization vision. Develop a succession plan. Leading & Supervising. Applying Specialist Technical Expertise. Customer & Quality Focus. Procurement of Aftermarket Automotive Parts

Job Offer

approx 40 - 50,000 QAR per month
