Testing Engineer Dammam

As a Testing Engineer you will be part of Power Products Division and High Voltage business unit based in Dammam. ABB is world’s leader in power products business and product manufactured becomes the key components to transmit and distribute electricity. The division incorporates ABB’s manufacturing network for transformers switchgear circuit breakers cables and associated equipment. It also offers all the services needed to ensure products’ performance and extend their lifespan.



Tasks

As a Testing Engineer you will be responsible for the following tasks

• Performing routine tests of Gas Insulated Switchgear GIS assembled bays including components amp modules according to the prepared drawings bill of materials checklists guidelines and customer order data

• Targeting the best performance in term of quality cost and delivery time

• Testing gas tightness electrical resistance and mechanical performance

• Testing high voltage and PD level partial discharge

• Recording deviation investigate root cause of failure and write quality problem nonconformance reports

• Fulfilling orders related work packages according to production data and instructions given by assigned foremenproduction engineers

• Performing and selfchecking of test result fill in technical data sheets and confirm on assigned checklist

• Conducting and leading the FATs Factory Acceptance Tests withwithout customers inspections

• Maintaining test equipments High Voltage testing transformer gas filling station electrical and mechanical measurement equipment instruments and infrastructure and sustain proper continuous calibration and maintain top quality in the process of other deparments production engineering … etc

• Independently follow the factory’s rules amp guidelines related safety quality enviroment recycling and house keeping

• Maintaining safe working environment by following ABB Occupational Health System guidelines

• Gathering any product improvement commentfeedback from the GIS LSC local Service Center engineers and implement an improvement plan accordingly after discussinginvolving the associated personsmanagers



Requirements

Ideally you'll hold a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 3 to 5 years experience in Quality AssuranceQuality Control systems managements in electrical power projects. Fluent in English speaking and writing is a must.
