We are searching for a qualified Sr .QS Engineer who is ready to take on Quantities Takeoff Quantity Survey Assessment Planning Time amp Cost Procurement and Estimation for feasibility study position within a major Real Estate and development environment
The Sr. QS Engineer is responsible for carrying out a variety of basic field duties at the job of Quantity Survey related to the general construction and associated Feasibility study.
Study the project scope of works Owner requirements BOQ project milestones and specification from the supplied bid documents.
Cost Engineering
• Applies principles of cost management amp elemental cost analysis including construction life cycle implications where required.
• Recognises and understands cost sensitive areas
Estimating
• Undertakes risk analysis in the context of construction
• Manage the preparation of Target Costs
Planning
• Reviews progress of the project against the various programmes
• Preparation of delay and disruption programmes
• Monitors amp controls critical elements of the process
• Identifies amp communicates threats to budget amp programme
Project Management
• Report and explain the commercial progress to senior project staff
• Cost Planning and precontract cost control
Procurement
• Evaluate and negotiate tenders including Subcontractors and suppliers
• Assess and identify risks and opportunities as part of risk management
Commercial Management
• Feasibility study preparation with Risk and opportunity analysis.
• Advising and contractual matters and formulating correspondence.
• Undertakes benchmarking exercises amp sets monitors Performance indicators KPI of Project Manpower performance.
• Comply and work under Project department manager .
Skills
Skills and Abilities
Ability to conduct electrical mechanical analysis and calculations.
Knowledge in MEP materials and required takeoff as Qs.
Ability to work under pressure and tight schedules.
Skills in feasibility study Procurement Estimation project controls cost estimates quantity takeoffs and manpower requirements for proposals forecast and change orders.
High Level of Creativity Knowledge in Microsoft office and CAD Standards and software Problem Solving Skills Results Orientation Communication Skills and Team Playing Abilities.
Requirements
Experience Qualification
Degree in Bsc. Civil Engineering or any related field.
GCC experience is preferable.
Fluent in English oral and written.
