The job holder should provide a broad range of responsible and complex computer systems administration duties in the implementation and maintenance of supervisory control and data acquisition SCADA to support to the Maintenance Services in their facility.
The employee will reports to the Manager or the Superintendent. The job holder is challenged to stay abreast of developments and innovations in the field determine what is suitable for deployment in the company and raise appropriate recommendations. The job holder is in charge to support all facilities in case of emergency process adjustment and monitor all the relevant issues of SCADA systems. He will be also join in the On Call team.
The employee should have a broad knowledge in SCADA preventative maintenance schedules for all relevant facility plant and equipment so that plant statuses are being monitored efficiently andeffectively. Generate and distribute regular reports detailing SCADA performance and statuses
He must serve as lead over all aspects of assigned applications development and software implementation projects. He should verify hardware and software purchase requests for assigned area and assimilate Maintenance Services and their facility costs into consolidated operations expenditures OPEX and capital expenditures CAPEX budget so that the organization is aware of likely costs to be incurred throughout thefollowing financial year.
Receive potential capital project submissions from across the facility prioritize and support the preparation of CAPEX amp OPEX submissions for those of highest priority so that the production capability of all plant and equipment is consistent with the provision of their facility according to customer expectations
Maintain SAP plant data of SCADA input additional configuration data. Prepare reports on the full range of SCADA system in order to ensure that management have sufficient information to support the decision making and effectiveness of the section.
Skills
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Automation Master degree of Automation.
Minimum Experience
•10 years’ Automation Engineering in a heavy industrial or utilities environment.
•Experience of managingcosting projects involving external contractors.
•1 – 2 years’ project costing experience involving the use of relevant software.
•Experience of technical evaluation of design options.
