With a pedigree spanning more than 30 years our client are a global multination with 20000 employees and annual revenues in excess of 15b. In line with the continued growth of the business an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Director.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Director the role will manage and coordinate a team ensuring projects are executed safely within budget and on time. Working in close collaboration with customers and key stakeholders the Project Director will manage all contractual commercial and financial requirements developing and maintaining project planning and reporting mechanisms in support of efficient delivery.
Leading a skilled project team the incumbent will have a detailed understanding of project objectives and requirements particularly relating to technical specification schedule and cost limits. They will monitor analyse and feedback the progress of all project tasks and milestones against objectives identifying where potential issues exist and instigate corrective action as required. Communication is critical in this role ensuring all parties are informed providing compelling reasoning for actions while maintaining strong working partnerships.
The Candidate
With a proven track record of success leading complex projects in an offshore EPIC environment the successful candidate will be able to show experience managing large scale high value projects to complex contractual frameworks.
With a commitment to delivering service excellence outstanding communication and leadership skills candidates will be skilled at problem solving evaluate risk and taking appropriate decisions. Candidates will show a flexible approach to work able to operate at a strategic level while influencing projects in an operational context.
Demonstrating a pedigree in end to end project management having managed large value EPC assignments in North Sea Caspian andor APAC regions applicants will be strong leaders able to lead relationships with demanding customers and subcontractors alike.
Fluency in English is mandatory and candidates will possess the relevant level of engineering or related degree education with evidence of continued professional development. This role is based in the UAE with significant travel to Europe and attracts an expatriate remuneration package.
