Requirements Technical Competencies Essential 15 Years Rail experience Chartered Engineer preferably registered in UK EU USA or Australia. Station and depot building MEP design experience from concept through to fully detailed design Tunnel MEP services experience Viaduct MEP services experience Understanding of Safety Availability and RAMS procedures Design and Build experience Good all round experience from front end to delivery Good understanding of NFPA Codes Experience on similar projects at a senior level Experience managing teams of between 820 people Client and stakeholder facing experience Preferred Good understanding of Middle East Building Codes LEED AP QSAS Professional Contractor experience Middle East experience Site experience Behavioural Competencies Essential Must be able to work effectively in a multicultural multilingual team environment Must be a clear communicator in both verbal and written English Must be able to lead motivate and inspire team members Able to work in a high pressure deadline driven environment Effective and imaginative problem solver Must be able to travel extensively within the region and occasionally to India Able to work cooperatively with other disciplines to provide effective multidisciplinary design solutions which add value for our clients Must be a confident and capable presenter Work as a team member and provide a positive contribution to team performance Demonstrate use of initiative Responsibilities Technical leadership in production of basis of design reports and specifications and ensuring design team compliance with these reports and code requirements from concept to detail design Ensuring submission quality and coordination across disciplines Supporting Design and Build contractors in tenders for large rail projects Technical leadership of all design stages Prepare and deliver presentations to management and at conferences Supervise and coordinate the preparation of design documentation Participate in bid proposals and presentations Preparing and presenting feasibility reports and design proposals Overseeing the production of detailed working drawings and specifications Participating in Value Engineering studies Overseeing the preparation of tender documents for contracts Site Inspections Resolving problems and issues that arise during construction Ensuring that the environmental impact of the project is limited.
