Subcontracts Manager Petrofac Offshore

Job Description


Scope


Take the lead in finalizing the subcontracting strategy and plan related to projects.


Manage the execution and administration of all subcontracts within the project.


Carry out all activities related to subcontracts such as reviewing drafting preparation negotiation and finalization in coordination with the Contracts team and Project Management team.


Direct contact and coordination with all subcontractors from commencement of RFQrsquos till the completion of execution.


Responsibilities


Participate in revision of Subcontracting Strategy and Subcontracting Plan as appropriate.


Initiate Revalidation of Bids obtained at Proposal Phase and or obtain additional bids as considered appropriate in accordance with revised Subcontracting Strategy and Subcontracting Plan.


Initiate review and approve all ITBrsquos RFQrsquos to be issued to Subcontractors as per the Subcontracts Plan.


Receive and open Bids.


Manage the commercial evaluation and review and approve technical and commercial Bid evaluations.


Manage the Subcontract award process including internal approvals.


Notification to unsuccessful bidders in the form of regret letters.


Review and issue of Letter of Award LOA review endorsement and execution of Subcontract Agreement and handover of Subcontract to the Construction Projects team for administration and management of Subcontract at site.


Responsible for adopting a uniform method of filing following standard filing index criteria maintaining official files of each Subcontract.


Establishment of Project Subcontract procedures.


Preparation of lsquoSubcontract Control Sheetrsquo.


Prepare and maintain Subcontract Work Book.


Prepare and maintain Subcontract specific forms and register.


Preparation of lsquoSubcontractor Interim Payment Certificatersquo.


Preparation of a lsquoSubcontract Overall Summaryrsquo issue and update on a monthly basis.


Give Project Team all inputs related to Subcontractors for Forecast Review Reports and meetings.


Participation in all coordination and progress meetings prepare and issue Minutes of Meeting.


Establish maintain and update Subcontractor records based on Subcontractor performance report.


During Project Execution Phase of the works assist the Projects team to resolve contractual or commercial matters evaluate variations andor claims by Subcontractor and assist in Subcontract close out exercise.


Requirement


Educated to degree level or equivalent in engineering or business administration.


A minimum of 15 years of experience in offshore oil and gas industry contract administration and management.


Capable of handling massive large projects with major scope of subcontracts involved.


Must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of contract law.


A good understanding of legalcontracts aspects.


Competent in written and oral communication in English.
