The Senior Project Manager will execute his duties to the highest possible standards. It is expected that the senior project managers role will ensure sound people and project management. Key Function Implementing a highlevel effective project management framework and method statement incorporating necessary review processes as required Minimum of 15 years PQE Degree Educated Defining and implementing criteria for control and management of the project Coordinate and direct enduser input throughout the project lifecycle Appraising options and submit to the client for approval Securing resources and expertise from the client as required e.g. appoint professional advisers to support the project sponsor role. Leading and overseeing the value management strategy Managing the project budget including risk allowances Monitoring and controlling changes variations following approval by the client. Monitoring compliance with construction program and identity opportunities for improved delivery Proactively identifying potential problems conflicts design and delivery issues using risk management tools and skills to mitigate impact on the project Ensuring company client policies and procedures are followed Establishing the project site and facilities Overseeing the effective operation of the site through conducting regular site visits and quality checks Investing in sound people management principles to ensure that the project management team works well and provides a supportive environment for the achievement of project and individual objectives Managing the welfare and motivation of direct reports such as but not limited to Project Managers Project Coordinators Contract Managers HSE Managers and Administration Assistants providing leadership guidance and encouragement Negotiating and converting contracts as required by the projects Overseeing the award of contracts and ensuring that the client is adequately protected Chairing meetings and ensuring minutes are actioned in a timely manner Providing timely regular and accurate reporting on the project progress costs and quality Accurately check and signoff on all payment certificates and invoices Ensure accurate finalisation of client accounts provide substantiated recommendations for variations and ensure contractors and consultants are paid in accordance with the contract schedule.
