Job descriptionJob DescriptionThe Research Scientist Geomechanics is responsible for researching and delivering innovative and experimental ways of optimizing carbonate reservoir production while reducing the risks associated with the drilling and completions operations. Working as part of the production and completions team in Schlumberger Dhahran Research the position requires a solid understanding of fundamentals and experience of experimentation with high temperatures pressures and aggressive chemicals. The candidate acts as a bridge between laboratory scale testing and the applications of geomechanics.Successful Research Scientists have handson experience with laboratory testing of mechanical or acoustic properties of materials. They learn quickly and have strong oral and written communication and technical presentation skills.
