This is an exciting and unique opportunity for a leading diverse group in Saudi Arabia with a multibillion Saudi Riyal turnover. Reporting to the CEO COO and CFO this is a leadership position focused on strategic development of the groups centralised procurement function. Centralising a team leading strategic sourcing vendor management key supplier negotiations and process change mapping and implementation will be critical to success.
Key Responsibilities
bull Leading mega project spend management procurement strategy and purchasing activities 500700m in 201416 candidate must have experience of heading procurement for sizable projects construction MEP contracting etc
bull Centralising all core group procurement activities CAPEX OPEX MRO Manufacturing Logistics Technology Marketing amp Media Travel Professional services with a 1bn SAR spend 400m.
bull Leading a diverse team of managers strategic sourcers buyers and operational purchasing.
bull Drive key procurement and operational buying best practices and implement the highest standards of process across a complex and diverse group of companies. Introduce change programs and manage the implementation of technology and processes to improve effectiveness and reduce errors.
Who we39re looking for
Essential Candidate Criteria
bull Fluent Arabic speaker ideally with experience in the Saudi Arabia market.
bull Project leadership exposure 300mspend project commercial and procurement sourcing management.
bull Experience of large spend management and creating a 39best practice39 centralised procurement function.
bull Leadership credentials an excellent communicator in both Arabic and English.
bull Experience of procurement and sourcing activities in such areas as FMCG Manufactured goods MRO CAPEX OPEX IT Marketing and Media Professional Services Vehicles.
bull 1025 years experience with at least 5 years in a leadership head of department senior manager or director capacity.
