They have been operating in Saudi Arabia since 2009 with over 300 employees and currently operate seven vocational campuses. These vocational colleges offer two and threeyear technical training programs to Saudi students between the ages of 1823 that will lead to vocational qualifications at a range of levels in a variety of subjects. The new colleges will eventually grow to a capacity of 12000 students.
Our client is seeking a Electrical Technology Instructor for their wellestablished vocational institutes.
Job Description
The Electrical Technology Instructor will be responsible for developing curriculum and teaching students various concepts of Electrical Technology including electrical installations troubleshooting electrical devices wiring and cabling health and safety and risk assessment and management. Activities and operations include participating in the development of Electrical Technology curricula coordinating with other Electrical Technology teachers and curriculum developers to integrate curricula monitoring student progress and teaching classes with up to 25 students for up to 25 hours per week.
Essential Job Functions
- Teach up to 25 hours of in class instruction per week.
- Maintain positive rapport with all students and create a positive learning environment to adequately communicate lessons.
- Enforce the student management and disciplinary policies of the Institute.
- Perform clerical duties as required relating to textbooks instructional supplies student reports and records attendance reports etc.
- Participate in curriculum development and planning with other Teachers and Curriculum Developers
Required Qualifications
- Bacheloracirc128153s degree from a recognized university in a relevant electrical technology related subject is required. Masteracirc128153s degree preferred.
Required Skills and Experience
- 35 years as minimum experience teaching in postsecondary technical and vocational sector required.
- 23 years of relevant work experience in a Electrical industry environment in a public or private company.
- Nonnative English speakers should present IELTS 6.5 Academic for contract confirmation.
- Highly organized enthusiastic and dependable.
- Excellent computer aptitude and experience with basic teaching technology including interactive whiteboards projectors the Microsoft Office Suite Word Excel PowerPoint etc. and learning management information systems.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in written and oral form in English
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Prior teaching experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
- Ability to speak Arabic.
