Job Description Spencer Ogden are currently working closely with a Major Global Oil and Gas Crewing Company based in Dubai to assist them in bringing on board a new Operations Director into a role which will lay a clear career pathway into the position as company CEO.
The company is a leading Oil amp Gas crew supply and related logistics provider specialized in supplying rig crews to international offshore Oil amp Gas drilling companies. They have operations in the Middle East South East Asia Africa and India.
The company has entered a new phase of growth and is preparing for transitional leadership from its Founder and current CEO to professional and independent management. The Board is looking for a dedicated handson and people oriented person who will be developed to become in due course the new CEO of this growing company.
During the first 6 months the DoO will develop a solid understanding of the organizational process interact with key managers and understand logistics and job descriptions through interfacing and interviewing with all staff in all functions and regions currently covered. During that period the DoO should also develop a detailed understanding of operations in all regions including countryspecific legalities procedures and systems with a rotating program to visit several rigs once a quarter.
In due time and subject to a merit based evaluation the DoO will be considered for the role of CEOdesignate and will continue to work with the CEO to understand all commercial issues costing bidding tendering market intelligence expansion and growth initiatives he will also interact closely with clients and will be given the overall responsibility of operations logistics HR and administration with the intent to transition into the CEO role going forward.
The successful applicant must have
Handson offshore experience and willingness to become fully immersed in the business and to work handinhand with the CEO

Maturity and willingness to collaborate across all areas of the business and externally with constituencies
Ability to effectively balance competing priorities to fulfil all client's expectations
Vision initiative stamina intelligence assertiveness strong interpersonal skills and a results orientation
The job will be located in Dubai but frequent travel to the other main office of the Company in Mumbai and regional offices will be expected.
