Our client an international Telecommunication company with a global reach is seeking a General Manager- Retail to be based in Riyadh.
You will be responsible for creating, implementing and driving the retail strategy for the organisation across the geographic region. Channel profitability, revenues, outlet deployment, market penetration plus market share across all regions. Supervise Regional Managers in order to drive the retail strategy deploy retail stores and ensure requisite service support to the business. The retail head creates & cascades the retail strategy across all regions and integrates business operations at the geographic level.
The role is critical to ensuring profitable and sustainable operations of the retail business function in order to achieve company’s goals and objectives.
• Develop the business objectives and strategic plan for the Retail Business Unit in coordination with Corporate Strategy
• Drives retail sales and profitability.
• Ensures achievement of store deployment plans and targets.
• Co-develop budgets at the national & regional level and implements cost control measures.
• Sets sales & profitability targets for different regions.
• Analyzes regional data to generate insights or trends
• Develops sales strategies and initiatives to maximize sales.
• Establishes performance metrics for customer satisfaction and implements systems
• Ensures high level of customer service in retail outlets.
• Provides guidance during training programs of store personnel
• Analyzes sales & demographic data, identifies trends to forecast future demand and reviews strategy.
• Directs the Regional Managers to devise sales promotion schemes to increase footfall and conversion rates in the outlets.
• Assesses the performance of outlets on parameters such as achievement of customer service, sales and profitability targets.
• Guides, reviews and approves development and implementation of the store operating manual.
• Coordinates initiatives on consistent brand messaging and customer experience across all retail outlets.
• Articulates the overall goals & objectives of the retail business function and ensures communications flow down to the store level to ensure consistency and shared responsibility.
• Fosters a culture of innovation, customer focus, entrepreneurship and team work across the entire retail function.
• Guides in design of training programs to train management and store personnel on creating a consistent customer experience and company branding.
• Reviews the compensation philosophy periodically to ensure market competitiveness.
• Assesses performance of subordinates periodically and recommends team incentives.
• Recommends individual and group incentives/reward programs to recognize high performance.
• Outlines manpower requirements /assists in recruitment.
