Our client a leading Airline Cargo Company with operations across the globe is looking to recruit a Director of Operations for their regional network to be based in the United Arab Emirates. Reporting into the VP of Operations the role will be in charge of the management of the airport cargo hubs which include 4 warehouses of up to 40000 Sq feet and up to 3000 staff across the region. The successful candidate will help achieve and deliver the strategy of growing the company through the effective leadership of the operation management in addition to drawing the plans and operational policy of the stations for the company to achieve the long and short objectives. As Director of Operations you will also participate in achieving the efficiency of the operations and to achieve the goals of the cargo company.
Additional responsibilities will including
bull Developing the policies and performances of the company and supervising its application to ensure a high quality service to the customers in a high level of efficiency.
bull Managing the land cargo operations and supervising the operational performance.
bull Promoting strong and effective leadership seeking to present the best service to achieve efficiency.
bull Developing the strategies and operational plans to ensure the best quality of service is presented to the customer.
bull Supervising and observing the performance of staff concerning health and safety in the work place ensuring it is up to a high standard.
Who we39re looking for
In order to be considered for this position you will come from a logistics provider background handling FMCGHealthcareMultiuse warehousing environments with the ability to develop and configure a warehouse from scratch and resolve all issues i.e. temperature control problems staffing issues bottlenecking etc. The successful profile must possess a Bachelors degree in either Warehouse Management or Supply Chain. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 Years working experience in hands on warehouse management not from the aviation industry and must have strong leadership skills with ability and drive to achieve quick change resilient having worked in hardship locations and ability to withstand issues that come with it. Excellent English is a mustwith Arabic being an advantage.
