Job Purpose


Senior planning Manager for Riyadh Public Transport Programme


Job ResponsibilitiesAccountabilities


Develop the vision for planning within the ADA PMO and promote that vision within the Program and with the ADA.


Further develop and define the ADA PMO's overall planning function and how this will be delivered during the life of the Program. Define the planning team within the ADA PMO and help to develop its roles and responsibilities. Recruit new staff where necessary.


Develop and maintain the overall schedule architecture for the Program including the format and content of the component schedules and define the responsibilities for production and integration.


Develop and maintain the Program Master Schedule covering the Metro and Bus projects development of the institutional frameworks procurement and other programwide activities.


Identify the main program interdependencies and work with the ADA PMO ADA PMCMs and PMs to help develop appropriate management plans.


Monitor the Metro and Bus Project progress against key metrics and use these to update the executive reporting dashboard.


Review contractorsupplier tender schedules.


Obtain assurance over the PMCMs' and PM's processes for reviewing the design and build contractors' suppliers' and consultants' detailed schedules and progress reports for the weekly and monthly reports.


Monitor the performance of the Metro Project and Bus Project against key contractual and interdependency milestones and provide early warnings to the Metro and Bus Project Directors and the ADA Executive.


Evaluate the confidence in the component schedules and the Program Master Schedule through systematic schedule risk assessment and analysis qualitative and quantitative where appropriate.


Analyze schedule progress and performance identify potential risks issues and problem areas and helpfacilitate their resolution.

Participate in the preparation and review and approval of change proposals.


Support the Project Management team in maintaining timely and effective change management processes procedures and systems.


Participate in the evaluation response and negotiations in relation to any disputes and claims.


Oversee the production of high quality reports to the ADA Executive.


Manage the schedule and progress performance inputs into the weekly and monthly Program reports.


Prepare industry standard earned valuebased reports.


Provide mentoring and career development counselling for more junior staff and members of the ADA's team.

Basic Qualifications


Job RequirementsQualificationsExperience



At least 20 years of postqualification experience.


At least 7 years in a senior planning management role.


International experience of the delivery of major urban transportation or infrastructure programs as part of the client or program management team.


Management and administration of major consultancyproject and construction management contracts and design and build construction contracts.


Specific requirements


Proficient in the use of Primavera Project Manager P6 Primavera Contract Manager formerly known as Expedition and the Microsoft Offices suite of tools.


Experience of schedule risk analysis.


Contract administration processes and systems.


Change management and administration


Claims and dispute management and resolution


Dispute resolution


Contract negotiation


Experience of working in the Middle East and KSA preferred.


Qualifications and memberships


Degree level


Engineering construction management professional memberships and project management memberships.
