Operations Manager - Criollo Chocolate Cafe

Strategic and operation planning

-Development and growth of branches

-Supervise the operations of all the branches

-Manage the overall business performance of the café services

-Work with kitchen management to make menu changes

-Maintain, develop and improve café service standards



Staff management

-Assist in the process of hiring new managers and key people

with HR department

-Assist the HR department in setting up the yearly training plan

-Recruit, train, and manage performance of personnel

-Provide effective leadership through consistent management and encouragement of colleagues

-Manage staffing in order to have the best production and customer service while keeping human resources costs at optimal levels

-Make sure all staff follow Criollo Chocolate Café standard policies and procedures at all times



Financial management

-Prepare semi-annually analysis on Criollo Chocolate Café performance versus Criollo Chocolate Café target markets

-Set and monitor departmental budgets on a monthly basis

-Control cost and optimize available resources and set corrective action plan if needed

-Ensure cost targets are met in terms of cost of Food and Beverage, manpower and other operational cost

-Monitor Back of House and Front of House fixed and variable costs and implement corrective measures when needed



Sales and Marketing

-Identify available sources of business and establish priority marketing opportunities

-Develop the “Brand Personality” of Criollo Chocolate Café in line with global positioning, market requirements, competitive factors and customer demands

-Conduct comparisons of competitors rates on a regular basis

-Prepare the yearly Sales and Marketing plan, and set the departmental budget

-Ensure that all brand communications deliver a clear understanding of the values of Criollo Chocolate Café to business partners and customers

-Manage all advertising contract arrangements with publishers



Internal communication

-Liaise with General Manager on all operation issues as required

-Make recommendations to improve the business

-Assist head of departments in the process of evaluations and appraisal performances on a timely manner

-Liaise with the different outlets’ floor managers on all operation issues as required
