The Matthew Mailing Centre for Translational Transplant Studies London Health Sciences Centre London Canada is seeking highlyskilled and diligent microsurgeons to participate in research in solid organ transplantation and the development of novel immunotherapy tissue protection and stem cell therapies. Research at the MMC has amon aim to accelerate the translation of basic transplant research to improve patient care.
This microsurgery position requires preexisting microsurgical skills in various small rodent animal models including mouse and performing heterotopic heart and lifesaving kidney transplantations in rodents successfully. Surgeons applying for the job should have more than 2 years of microsurgical technique and a PhD or MD degree would be desirable. As part of a multidisciplinary team of researchers clinicians and medical specialists you will require a strong interest in innovating microsurgical techniques and learning biologyimmunology as well as good written and oralmunication skills in English.
