As the Head of Business Development you will focus on the Saudi Arabian financial market creating opportunities for the Jersey finance industry professionals to successfully promote their individual organisations products and services. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple regions in Business Development Marketing Technical and Executive functions. You will encourage and participate actively in the further development of capability to meet regional market needs. Key elements to the role will be the liaison with external stakeholders such as States of Jersey Jersey Financial Services Commission and Locate Jersey to understand and effectively represent the finance industry proposition in your regional market. You will articulate effectively the technical merits of Jersey39s finance sector offerings to Saudi Arabian regional audience. You will proactively develop a solid business network of relevant contacts in the region and maintain frequent communication with them and work with colleagues across Jersey Finance to deliver these communications in a structured manner consistent with their brand identity. You will hold a responsibility for a regional budget and will need to plan appropriate spend to deliver regional objectives for education marketing and entertainment events.
Who we39re looking for
The successful candidate will possess significant post qualification experience in the finance industry in the GCC not necessarily in Jersey preferably in the funds professional services or private client wealth management sector. Experience of working in international markets including at least one mainstream financial centre. You will have a successful track record in financial services or professional services into FS with established network in KSA amp the UAE. You will need some knowledge of Jersey39s finance industry its products and services and the regulatory environment. Your marketing and public relations skills will need to be developed from a financial services knowledge base rather than from a marketing environment. You will need the ability to work alone and or in conjunction with senior representatives of JFLJersey Government and Regulatory officials. Whilst a fluency in spoken and written Arabic is not essential it would be highly advantageous.

What39s on offer
The successful candidate will receive an attractive package and be based in either the United Arab Emirates or Saudi Arabia working from home with a requirement to conduct regular business trips to other regional centres principally Kingdom of Saudi Arabia annual visits to Jersey and or London.
