Reporting to the Managing Director you will lead the GPT Commercial Department and be accountable for the effective delivery of commercial subcontracting and procurement related services to all GPT operational functions. Your key stakeholders will include the Saudi Arabian National Guard SANG the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence MoD and the SANGCOM team. As a key member of GPT Management Board you will manage competitive procurement and commercial processes in accordance with the policies and strategies of GPT and always in accordance with the Head Contracts. You will provide relevant information to the parent organisation including support to the Chief Financial Officer for projects outside the delegated financial limits.
You will manage all commercial and contractual matters with respect to supply and sales chain during the bid and delivery phase including issuance of PQQ39s RFI39s RFPs ITTs to potential subcontractors and suppliers. it will be critical to provide guidance support and advice to the project teams to enable them to adhere to contractual obligations company processes and procedures including phase reviews and tender vetting. You will be responsible for ensuring that commercial and contractual risks are reported with risk assessments performed as required. Finally you will liaise with all suppliers local and international on all commercial aspects prior to during and subsequent to the procurement process.
Who we39re looking for
In order to be relevant for this senior position with GPT you will need to be degree qualified with direct experience in subcontract commercial andor procurement in an IT Telecommunications environment inside an ISO9000 framework. You will possess an excellent understanding of contractual terms relating to CAPEX and OPEX investment display strong negotiation and contract management skills and have extensive experience of drafting contract terms. Managing the commercial aspects of high value high complexity projects will be your key strength. Our client is open to candidates living outside of the Middle East although previous experience working inside the Middle East will be advantageous as will exposure to working in the defence sector. What is critical is that you are able to live and work in Riyadh Saudi Arabia.
