Job Description
Parsons Brinckerhoff is currently working on a major rail project in Riyadh due to this we are currently looking to recruit an experienced Track Engineer.
Track Engineer
Undertake formal design checks
Undertake feasibility studies investigative studies technical peer review reports and the like
Produce tender documentation and advise on contract procurement strategy
Undertake tender reviews and due diligence technical reviews
Undertake client advisory role
Responsible for addressing interfaces and design coordination with other designs
Attend interdisciplinary design reviews and undertake interdisciplinary design checks
Provide input to project risks assumptions RAMS requirements value engineering and the like
Provide input to systems engineering processes on major multidiscipline projects including evidence statements for requirements compliance verification
Person specification
Professional affiliations Chartered Engineer preferred. Member of PWI
Academic qualifications Relevant degree or equivalent
Years of experience 20 years minimum
Experience as a team leader preferred
Broad experience in track design including track structure trackform track components preferably for a range of railway types
Experience in track construction maintenance or general consultancy preferred
Experience in wide range of railway types eg heavy rail passenger high speed freight metro light rail or tram
Understanding in the principles of clearance and gauging
Ability to write trackwork specifications preferred
Capable of producing tender documentation and advising on contract procurement strategy
Capable of undertaking tender reviews and due diligence technical reviews
Ability to undertake feasibility studies investigative studies technical peer review reports and the like
Experience in multidiscipline projects design interfaces and coordination interdisciplinary design reviews and checks
Ability to provide input to project risks assumptions RAMS value engineering and the like
Experience in systems engineering and requirements compliance verification preferred
Ability to communicate well attend meetings with clients and give presentations
