•Work with other engineering professionals senior drillers laboratory technicians technical assistants to ensure projects are completed in accordance with provided guidelines and meet client’s specifications.
•Apply standard engineering practices and techniques in specific situations adjust and correlate data recognize discrepancies in results and follow operations through a series of detailed steps or processes.
•Use prescribed methods to perform project tasks under supervision of an experienced engineer.
•Assist project professionals with project execution proposal and report preparation.
•Supervise large geotechnical projects and liaison with client representatives on site.
•Write geotechnical reports and carry out engineering calculations.
•Work on engineering software used in the geotechnical department.
•Carry out geophysical and pile load tests.
•Classification of soil and rock samples based on ASTM procedures.
Skills
•Understanding of fundamentals of geotechnical engineering principles and ability to apply them in solving problems.
•Basic understanding and knowledge of geotechnical engineering technical requirements field data acquisition procedures soils and various testing procedures.
•Good supervisory skills
•Good command in use of computers and software’s used in the geotechnical department
•Good understanding of HSEMS and QMS system
•Good standard of written and oral English
•Productivity and able to make presentations
•Produces good quality work
