Job Purpose
Manage the purchasing of a range of raw and sub materials including metallics Ferroalloys packaging materials electrodes deoxidizers additives and flux refractory consumables refractories refractory items and semifinished products as required by the production process in order to ensure continuous availability and competitive cost quality. Also to effectively and efficiently administer the entire procurement process from identification of raw material requirement through to the point of product shipment by the supplier as defined by the policy and processes defined by the company.
Accountabilities
•Develop and implement raw materials procurement policies and procedures in line with corporate procurement strategy in order to ensure the integrity of raw material supply and support the achievement of corporate production objectives.
•Ensure the effective implementation of policies and procedures through leadership of a specialist raw materials buying team setting objectives managing performance developing and motivating employees in order to ensure the highest levels of performance are achieved.
•Provide professional advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on raw material procurement policies and standards in order to support the achievement of corporate production objectives.
•Keep abreast of the latest developments in domestic and international raw materials markets and explore new sources and gather sufficient data to assess them and evaluate their performance as per company policy.
•Build and maintain a strong professional network within the Middle East steel industry exploring and utilizing opportunities for cooperative industry group purchasing activities in order to achieve best value raw material procurement for the company.
•Research and monitor activities and trends in the raw materials supply markets in order to ensure informed commercial decision making on supplier identification selection and pricing.
•Prepare senior management information reports on key raw material market activities and procurement process activities in order to ensure that senior managers have the information required to support strategic decision making.
•Report on current supplier performance in line with company standard requirements in order to support the integrity of the current and future raw material procurement process.
•Plan and prepare for future tender activity in the current and next business year selecting potential suppliers preparing and issuing tender documentation when appropriate in order to ensure continuous provision of raw material supply.
•Support Supply Chain Management function in preparation of the Raw Materials Shipment Schedule track the updates of Shipment Schedules with Supply Chain Management as required in order to ensure that scheduled activities meet the planned needs of the production process on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications Experience amp Skills
•Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Business Administration Commerce or equivalent.
•8 years’ raw materials purchasing experience in Steel Industry.
•Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the raw materials procurement process and its importance to the overall operation of the company.
•In depth knowledge of raw materials suppliers and supply markets in the KSA
•Welldeveloped knowledge and understanding of the steel industry business environment.
•Welldeveloped leadership and people management skills.
•Functional knowledge of SAP and MS Office applications.
•Good English language skills both written and oral. Arabic a plus.
•Problem solving and decision making skills at both a strategic and operational level.
