A full health care scheme is provided within Saudi Arabia.nbspSAUDI NATIONAL EMPLOYEE BENEFITSIn return for the required high levels of commitment and hard work you will receive a competitive salary and benefits package including a generous leave and travel allowance a full health care scheme and access to subsidised recreational facilitiesnbspnbspJOB PURPOSEnbspThe purpose of this job is lead the development effectiveness and the consolidation PC and RSAF of approximately 65 Avionic supervisors and tradesmen employed in the Aircraft Generation Flight at KFAB Taif.To manage the engineering activities and ensure effective supervision ofnbsp avionics personnel in order to ensure that continuing airworthiness and maintenance activities on Typhoon aircraft are carried out in accordance with BAE Systems Saudi Arabia SALAM Maintenance Organisation Exposition and associated Quality Management System.nbsp The job holder will supervise BAE Systems staff and Royal Saudi Air Force RSAF personnel as well as lead the mentoring and consolidation development of these tradesmen in the Line Forward Maintenance environment.Recruitment SpecificationnbspThe following qualifications and experience are essential for this post



  • Proven supervisory ability at senior supervisor level in a high tempo aircraft maintenance delivery driven environment.

  • Must hold a relevant Typhoon ‘Q’ trade annotation

  • Must possess indepth knowledge of the Typhoon Avionic systems




    • Qualified to HNC or recognised equivalent level in an Aeronautical Engineering or related subject.

    • Successfully completed a recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship or similar practical aircraft maintenance training programme delivered by a NATO air force or approved aircraft maintenance training provider.

    • Experience as a Category B1 Licensed aircraft maintenance technician or military equivalent.




      • Worked at a supervisor level maintaining Typhoon aircraft at either Line Forward or Base Depth Maintenance.


      • nbspDesirable nbspThe job holder should have the following background

        • Worked in an aircraft maintenance organisation conducting or supporting Line Forward Maintenance of military fastjets




          • Proven track record managing Avionic aircraft maintenance supervisors and technicians and associated resources at ‘shift manager’ level maintaining military fast jet aircraft




            • Excellent man management experience and proven people development competency.

            • High level of interpersonal skill to coordinate a large number of diverse activities and the ability to communicate influence and direct the decision making process at all levels.

            • Experience of multitasking to manage a diverse range of engineering and management activities.

            • Demonstrable experience working as an Avionic certifying supervisor managing Line Forward Maintenance on a busy military operational flying unit.

            • Fully conversant with European Aviation Safety Agency aircraft maintenance regulations or military equivalents such as UK MoD Defence Standard 05130.

            • Experience working in a NATO air force maintaining Avionic systems on military aircraft.

            • Experience as a mentor coach or instructor in an aircraft maintenance environment.

            • Experience conducting Line Maintenance of aircraft in a Gulf Coast Country.

              • Establish the optimum technical development approach for circa 65 Avionic tradesmen.

              • Lead the technical development of the Avionic tradesman including PC and RSAF consolidation to enable them to achieve full operational performance within agreed time constraints.

              • Establish and maintain an individual development plan for each member of the Avionic trade.

              • Provide trade leadership in the effective control and supervision of all continuing airworthiness and maintenance activities carried out on Typhoon aircraft by Avionic tradesmen and others placed in his Area of Responsibility.

              • Ensuring that all personnel engaged in activities in his Area of Responsibility follow the correct practices and observe safety precautions thereby complying with the requirements and limitations detailed in the Salam Support Safety Case Report.

              • Ensuring that no one is exposed to any unnecessary or uncontrolled risk in his Area of Responsibility as far as is reasonably practicable.

              • Ensuring that all continuing airworthiness and maintenance activities conducted within his Area of Responsibility are carried out in accordance with current processes and procedures by appropriately authorised qualified and experienced personnel.

              • Ensuring good husbandry practices are implemented effectively.

              • Ensuring FOD control measures are implemented effectively.

              • Ensuring that relevant Safety Management Systems and Maintenance Error Management Systems are understood and implemented by staff under his supervision.

              • Coaching and mentoring BAES and RSAF personnel under his supervision.

              • Transferring knowledge and delivering consolidation development to BAES and RSAF personnel under his supervision.

              • Assisting with aircraft handling and flight line activities when required.

              • Completing any other reasonable duties or requests made by appropriate line managers.
