The successful candidate shall ensure that the company is operating within legislation requirements at all times. Reporting directly to the CEO and CLO, he shall provide legal and regulatory advice to the company and its subsidiaries. The ideal candidate must have worked previously as a qualified lawyer for 3 years in a commercial or private practice. As such, he must be proficient in drafting contracts both in English and Arabic. He must also possess a solid working knowledge of the legal system in any country in the Gulf or Middle East regions.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Draft standard contracts and advice on legal issues for the Saudi entity of the company.
• Manage legal disputes and litigation involving the company including HR-related cases and arbitration.
• Act as the primary focal point on legal related issues for regulatory and governmental agencies.
• Provide legal support services to the company subsidiaries and all its sales and commercial teams.
• Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers, third-party vendors and other inter-facing entities.
• Manage and maintain a database of documents related to all legal work done on cases, contracts, agreements to allow easy access for future reference.
• Conduct periodic research on current updates, amendments and trends in applicable legislation in order to incorporate them in future contracts or refer to them in providing legal advice on issues.
