Genesis Associates are looking for an experienced Chartered engineer to take the design lead in the delivery of range of underground structures for major metro road and rail projects in the Middle East. Candidates will be experienced and have a personal interest in civil and structural engineering with specialism in cut and cover structures for Metro Rail and Road projects.
The candidate should possess the essential qualifications experience competencies and skills to undertake this role as listed below
acirc128cent BSc BEng or higher in civil or structural engineering with 10 years experience
acirc128cent Chartership status is essential MICE MIStructE or similar.
acirc128cent Be experienced in underground structurestunnels design engineering and able to demonstrate exceptional design engineering technical competences
acirc128cent Experience of successfully managing engineering teams motivating staff and assisting in the development of younger engineers
acirc128cent Extensive Underground Station design experience including knowledge of underground walling systems diaphragm walls secant piles etc
acirc128cent Experience of cavern design and rock mechanics will also benefit any applicant
acirc128cent Be innovative looking to develop their technical and management skills and willing to tackle any challenge
acirc128cent Skills in structural engineering numerical modelling metro engineering will all be highly valued and utilised

Job Description
As a Principal Chartered Engineer the candidate will be involved on a range of projects which are industry and public high profile within Middle East. The roles will be challenging demanding varied and offer fantastic opportunities for skill set and career development.
Candidate will be required to work autonomously leading a growing team carrying out feasibility works preliminary and detailed engineering design for a range of civil structures such as cutampcover underground metro stations retaining structures cut and cover tunnels.
