Job Description



• POSITION Position title Project Manager Position grade 3 Department Design Projects Reporting to title Operations Manager • JOB SUMMARY The Projects Manager will be responsible for the projects contracts and will perform a technical organizational and supervisory role. He will be responsible for marking out the site applying designs and plans and liaising with sub contractors. He will work as part of the site management team sharing responsibility for site security health and safety and the organization and supervision of material and human resources. • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Run the project on a daytoday basis including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and monitoring the work of any subcontractors Intimately understand the requirements of the project and ensure that work proceeds onspec Coordinate designers coders service providers and clients Checking drawings and quantities and ensuring that the calculations are accurate for the work Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant for use in the construction Agreeing a price for materials and making costeffective solutions and proposals for the intended project Responsible for the preparation and maintaining of procurement program for each individual project. Prepare cash flow of each individual project. Planning the work and efficiently organizing the site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines Liaising with any consultants subcontractors supervisors planners quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project Liaising with clients and their representatives architects engineers and surveyors including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress Writing detailed reports daily weeklymonthly Overseeing quality control and safety matters on site and ensuring that regulations are adhered to Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise Evaluate deliverables prepared by the team to make sure the work meets requirements and maintains a high level of quality Ensure client expectations are met and exceeded in terms of quality of product and service delivered Constantly monitor and report on the progress of a project to all stakeholders Track and report team hours and file expenses reports Analyze project profitability and Risk Management Conduct performance evaluations Create maintain and constantly look to improve production processes Manages a variety of commercial contracts and subcontracts in accordance with company policies and procedures applicable laws and customer requirements. Identifies risks and issues suggests alternatives that lead to the best solution Reviews and manages contractual obligations of the parties and provides continual review to ensure that all terms and conditions are met. Responsible for implementation of project contract management processes. Provides onsite advice to business units and project teams on contract management and policy compliance matters Acts as the primary contact between the project team andor business unit and Legal ensuring that all legal and contractual matters are addressed efficiently and promptly Ensure adherence to the written agreement between Hdeco Qatar and client in terms of payment collection delivery and scope of work. In charge of payment collection upon delivery of materials to site completion of project or other as stated in client agreement. Responsible to hand over all projects as per contract in addition to keeping within the budget constraints delivery on time and provision of a high quality product. This includes receipt of the inspection request form signed by the client. Responsible to maintain a comprehensive record of all correspondence between Hdeco Qatar and the client in addition to a comprehensive record of all approved Shop drawings Job orders Variation orders Approved samples BOQ BOM Quotations Project schedules daily time sheets site reports purchase requests etc. all in line with ISO 9001 requirements. Acts as liaison between Hdeco Qatar and clientsvendors. Ensures that assigned personnel adhere to company policies and procedures Informs the project team of the requirements of the contract and monitoring compliance Develops and integrates contract management tools templates methods and processes for the engagement. To adhere to Hdeco Qatar company policies and procedures at all times. To undertake any other duties as appropriate within competence as required by Managing Director from time to time. • DIMENSIONS Directly reporting to this position 1. Project Coordinators 2.
